Canadian winters can be so cold and dreary. I constantly find myself tucked away in my bedroom, hiding under layers of blankets, with no intention of leaving the house. I catch myself complaining about the weather, as if, for some reason, it will make me feel better. But it doesn’t.
This winter, I have been doing my very best to embrace the weather. I have encouraged myself to get out of the house, brave the cold, and find all of the beautiful things that this season has to offer.
In doing so, I have become more grateful for this time of year. Forests are quiet. Streets are brightened by the snow, even in the middle of the night. Coffee shops are cozy and skating rinks are romantic.
Here are some photographs from my winter thus far. Enjoy. ❄
